Brie and Allan came to me more than two years ago to book NYE 2014 for their wedding. All that preparation sure did pay off, it was a perfect wedding … even the sub zero temps didn’t put a damper on the spirit of the day.   With their favorite spots in Lansing and East Lansing serving as the backdrop, we were able to shoot in front of the tree at the State Captiol, MSU campus, Sigma Kappa Sorority house, and the reception was at Eagle Eye Golf Club.

Though it was really cold (so we didn’t get much time outdoors for fear of frostbite), I used lighting and other techniques to create drama in all of the various locations we did have.   “Work with what you’ve got” is definitely a needed skill with wedding photography, and one that I love to exercise as much as I can.  I mean really, who can’t shoot gorgeous photos during perfect light and weather?  Give me a tricky day, with lighting challenges … and now we’re talking!

Best wishes to Brie and Allan!!!  It was such an honor to photograph your day, and more importantly, to get to know you both!!!
