This was one of the most unique weddings I've photographed.  The ceremony was held outdoors at Stoney Creek Metropark.   So, even though Lisa and Kep were in gown and tux, they also had on sturdy hiking boots ... as did the wedding party.  Perfect for the location! The sun was shining through the trees during the ceremony, and we were fortunate with ideal weather.  During the ceremony, all of the

It's always the best compliment when a client recommends me to their friends!  That's how Sarah came to know me, through her friend Kandice (Hi Kandice), who had me photograph their wedding nearly three years ago ... how time flies.  Kandice got to know me through Pam (Hi Pam), Pam got to know me through Angel (Hi Angel) and so on, and so on.  I love that my clients are so happy with my

I was so honored to photograph Michelle and Adam's wedding a couple of weeks ago.   We started at the Greektown Hotel for the getting ready photos, and the view from a top floor was amazing!  Then, we were at the Most Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Detroit for the ceremony, with a reception at the Detroit Athletic Club.   Glamorous venue, beautiful couple and a spectacular day - congratulations to

Michelle and Adam love Royal Oak, so we did an engagement session walking around — catching light and interesting corners and alleys to use.   Here are a few of my favorites from the session.    I am looking forward to photographing the wedding!  Congrats, you two!

Congratulations Carrie and Chris!  It was a beautiful day for this couple's wedding at Orchard Lake St. Mary Catholic Church and a reception at Pine Lake Country Club. So many great photos, it was really hard to select which few I wanted to create this mini-alubm for a sneak peek. Enjoy!

Congratulations on your senior year, Natalie!  Here are a few sneak peeks for the fully edited versions of some favorites from her Senior Portrait Session.  Natalie is a dancer, so of course, we incorporated that into the shoot as well.

This little guy was only 12 days old when I had the pleasure to meet him and do his first photo session. We did this in their home, taking advantage of lovely natural lighting and a relaxing atmosphere for everyone. Here were a few of my favorites from the session.

September 28, 2012 Portraits that work

Just wrapped up another of my signature portrait sessions for a really nice, new client.  Thank you Ross Mortgage on Woodward Ave. in Royal Oak!  It's such a pleasure working with everyone there. The lighting created a great effect, making my white backdrop appear gray in the images.  I think it looks fantastic.  The horizontal cropping of a headshot is one of my personal favorites.  But, of course, I shoot it

July 10, 2012 Meghan & Justin

Meghan and Justin said they chose me to photograph their wedding because they just didn't want to risk their big day's photos—quality of work was too important for them not to go with the right photographer.   What a compliment to be selected for their wedding! Here are sneak peeks from their recent engagement session.  We played with sunlight and shadows.  They also wanted to practice a "serious" look, so hard
